Casting Directors and Casting Services
SAG, extras, horsemen, reenactors!
of the Mexican War, American Civil War (Confederate & Union),
Indian Wars, Old West & Spanish-American (Span-Am) War & Victorian periods
AzRAHist's casting directors have worked as the casting director for projects and also
in an unofficial capacity helping other casting directors obtain the talent that they needed. As we specialize and are very
experienced in 19th Century Military and the Old West, and therefore have an advantage when it come to casting characters for
period projects involving the 1800's.
Our casting directors have been involved in casting for projects in Arizona, as well
as for projects in other parts of the United States. We are listed with the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) in Arizona as casting
directors.
We have a large pool of union and non-union talent that specialize in the 19th century (1800s)
and old west. They are experienced and can portray: cowboys, outlaws, vaqueros, trappers, buffalo hunters, miners, old timers,
military (buffalo soldiers, cavalry, etc.), townspeople (ladies, gentlemen and not so gentlemen, settlers), etc. Many are
skilled horsemen and some are professional horsemen. We also have
Reenactor Coordinators, Historical/Technical Advisors and Reenactor
Staff available to suit your needs.
Because we have a casting director that is also an experienced horseman, we can screen
talent for parts that require horse and/or riding skills; and help to ensure that the talent being considered have the
necessary horsemanship skills before being hired.
Our talent has been seen in features films, including: Dead Man, Glory, Back to the Future III, Far and
Away. They have also been seen in television projects, such as: Blind Justice, Geronimo (TNT), Ironclads and Young Riders and in
commercials for McDonalds, Sanyo, Hardee's Hamburgers and Bulleit Bourbon.
