The following list is a listing of all the reenactors that worked on the Warner Brother production: Wild Wild West.
The Promontory Point scene was filmed at Cook's Ranch, the site of the now mostly destroyed Silverado Set, and took 11 days of filming. The reenactors can be seen as the Infantry and Cavalry Troops present at the Driving of the Golden Spike ceremony, so rudely interrupted by Dr. Loveless and his 80 foot mechanical spider.
For the Malheureux Point scene, filmed outside Los Angeles, the reenactors portray General McGrath's troops, that are gunned down by Dr. Loveless' tank. The filming for this scene took 7 days shooting.
Reenactors are people who have made a hobby out of portraying / recreating history. They do significant research to learn about the time period that they portray, including clothing, weapons, customs and the history of the period itself. What they do is referred to as "Living History", because the reenactor brings history to life. Some portray soldiers, while others portray civilians; some do Revolutionary War, others the War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, Indian Wars, Old West, Spanish American War and almost any other historical time period. An infantry reenactor's image can cost $1000.00 or more and a cavalryman's can cost two to three times that much. Many reenactors own several images and some own dozens.
Reenactors were first used in a film project for the making of the Blue and the Grey in the early 1980's. Since then they have been involved with the majority of film projects that involve American Military History. These include Glory, Ironclads, Buffalo Soldiers, Alamo Price of Freedom, Geronimo (TNT & Columbia) etc., etc., etc.
